Osun Osunniyi and Aislinn Flynn from Putnam Science Academy signed their National Letter of Intents this afternoon upon the Maple Street campus. 

Osunniyi will be heading to La Salle University located in Philadelphia, PA. While Flynn will be heading to Towson University in Maryland.

Both Osunniyi and Flynn are currently in the midst of their respective post grad years. Both student athletes are considered forwards and are expected to contribute immediately next year on the college court.

Flynn becomes the first ever girls basketball player to commit to a division 1 school. This is the first year of the girls program at Putnam Science Academy.

Osunniyi follows a storied history of big guys at Putnam Science Academy to go Division 1. Some notable big men from Putnam Science Academy include Jordan Butler (Norfolk St.), Chaise Daniels (Quinnipiac), Isaac Kante (Georgia) and Malik Ondigo (Texas Tech). 

The Prep and Varsity boy’s program open the season this Friday at home in a double header at 5pm and 7pm versus DME Sports Academy.

The girls program will open the following weekend in New Jersey.
